I now offer QA testing of X-ray apparatus together with measurements of scattered radiation levels in diagnostic radiography and exposure levels in nuclear medicine applications.
Measurements are made with Unfors Xi Platinum edition solid state detection equipment.
The Unfors R/F detector can measure kVp, dose, dose rate, pulse, pulse rate, dose/frame, time, HVL and waveforms simultaneously. Linearity of mA can be extrapolated from dose measurements.
The Unfors Xi Survey detector can be used for X-ray scatter and leakage measurements and in nuclear medicine for exposure levels at any distance from the source. Detector range covers photon energies from 13 keV to 1.25 MeV.
An industry standard Leeds test object water phantom is used as a patient substitute.
